Damn, gimme ur skillz. Q_Q; I need to do an improvement meme again. I have a perfect piece sitting around waiting for love, but I think even if I did redo it it wouldn't show this much amazingness. TT_TT
I'm having difficulty with line weights... any good tips/tutorials you can think of?
hmm well lines are usually thicker at the end where they connect with some other non-parallel line. Line wights are also use to somewhat describe the material of a thing, eg leather will have heavier and thicker lines while a lighter cloth will have thin lines. I usually add thickness after I have drawn the 'form', like for example I draw the fold first, and then see if it needs to be thickened at some point, hope this makes sense!
hmm...looking at your works though I would say your linearts and line weights are pretty good! and they are not too heavy at all either, so I think you're just concentrating on the wrong side what I see is that you lack a bit of experience with folds, and really often a single wrong fold may make your art look crappy. I think if you concentrate on that, you'll see a really great improvement!
The anatomy looks great, definitely something that's been worked on. :'D You've always been a great artist but When did you get so amazing? XD Your lines look like your putting more confidence in them too :'3
I really love your style. Do you have any advice on how to get better? Could you give some tips on what resources you studied to get better? Did you simply look at others' work and drew every day? This is an inspiration to me. Thank you for posting.
Thank you! Well yes, looking at your inspirations and drawing everyday is the most important part of it! I usually concentrate on one area at time where I'm lacking, and therefore look for specific tutorials and observe real life situations, for example when I realize I lack at a particular face feature or particular type of folds, I do my researchers and stare at people when I'm not home haha hope this was helpful
